Combine Add-on to main items in Cart and Checkout page

Imagine you're selling Christmas Stocking with Personalizable name that can be embroidered and other extra services, including:

Main product price is $19.99
Add-on price for custom name: $10
Add-on price for extra services ($10 for gift wrapping and $10 express delivery)

Once a customer selected some options with add-on price then add the product to cart. With the *original add-on price method* -> The add-on items and main item will be display as separated items in cart and checkout page. Like this:

🔉 Introducing the Combined Add-on and Main items in Cart and Checkout page!

We are thrilled to unveil a highly requested feature that many of our users have been waiting for - *Combined Add-on*! This powerful addition gives you, the Shopify merchant, the ability to stack the add-on items to the main product, reduce the quantity of add-on items displayed in the cart.

Using this feature, the add-on items and related main item will be combined into 1 item in cart and checkout page.

From the example we mentioned above:

All add-on items price will be calculated to the main item price ($19.99 + $10 +$10 + $10 = $49.99)
All add-on items will also be combined to the main related item into only one item in cart and checkout page.

How to Set up?

*1. Create an Option Set*

Go to the *Option set* page and click on the *Create option set* button.
In the option set editor, select your preferred option type: Single input, Single selection, or Multiple selections.

*2. Setting Up the Add-On Prices as you wish*

*3. Apply the Option Set to Products*

Click on the *Select products* button and choose the products to which this option set will be applied.

Click *Apply and Create* to activate the option set.

*4. Turn on Settings for Combine add-on to main item*

Navigate to Settings > Add-on Price section and enable the *Combine add-on items to main item on Cart and Checkout page* checkbox

⚠️ Please note that this function *does not work with Editing option in cart*

*5. Save settings and test on Storefront*

With the feature enabled, it's essential to thoroughly test it. You can place a test order with the add-on option and several main products to ensure the correct function.

The feature *does not yet work with Editing options in cart* at the moment, unfortunately.
