Checkout Digest - A new way to get notifiation

Checkout Digest is a recurring performance summary of what your checkout components earned, sent automatically to email, Slack, or Discord. This release adds it as a new Notification tab in Qikify Checkout's settings — there was no digest or notification screen before.

1. New Notification settings tab

New Notification settings tab

  1. In Qikify Checkout's sidebar, click Settings.

Settings now opens on the Notification tab by default — this tab is new in this release. The Branding, Translation, and Integration tabs next to it are unchanged.

2. Digest schedule: frequency, day and time

Digest schedule: frequency, day and time

  1. Turn on Send digest — it's off by default, so no digest sends until you turn it on.
  2. Select Frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly), then Send on and Time. The description line below updates immediately to match, for example: "Every Monday at 9:00 AM, covering the previous 7 days. Compared against the week before."
  3. Optionally, turn on Skip when there's no activity to skip a digest when there's nothing to report.

Note: Choosing Daily hides Send on and compares each digest to the same weekday last week, not the day before; choosing Monthly changes Send on to the first or last day of the month.

Note: Time covers the full 24 hours in 30-minute steps, using your store's own timezone.

Note: Save stays blocked until you connect at least one destination in Send to and turn on at least one content group in What to include below.

3. Content groups: choose what's included

Content groups: choose what's included

Under What to include, there are three content groups: Upsell and cross-sell, Checkout health, and Extension performance. Each one ships off — click Turn on to add its full metric list to the digest, or Turn off to remove it again. There's no way to pick individual metrics; it's the whole group's list or nothing.

Each group lists its metrics underneath its own heading, so you can see exactly what turning it on adds before you do. The first time you turn on Checkout health, Qikify also asks for a one-time data permission — covered in the next step.

Note: Top product offers, under Upsell and cross-sell, shows a count that depends on Frequency: 3 on Daily, 5 on Weekly (shown here), 10 on Monthly.

Note: Checkout health's metric list carries a fixed footnote on screen: "Measured on checkout sessions where a Qikify component rendered. May differ from Shopify Analytics."

4. One-time permission for Checkout health

One-time permission for Checkout health

  1. The first time you click Turn on under Checkout health, a Qikify Checkout — Checkout health modal opens, requesting View store analytics & reports — checkout conversion, cart abandonment, and order value data.
  2. Click Allow access to grant the permission and turn the group on in the same step.

Click Cancel instead to close the modal and leave the group off — no error is shown either way.

Note: Only Checkout health asks for this permission. Upsell and cross-sell and Extension performance turn on immediately, with no modal.

5. Email destination

Email destination

  1. Next to Email in Send to, click Manage.
  2. In the Email recipients modal, enter an address in Add an address and press Enter — it becomes a removable chip, and the counter updates (up to 10 addresses).
  3. Click Save.

Back on the settings screen, the Email row now shows a checked box and the recipient count — for example, "1 recipient · billing@example.com" — and counts toward the Choose at least one destination requirement.

Note: An address is accepted as soon as you press Enter — Qikify doesn't send a confirmation email to verify it first.

6. Slack destination

Slack destination

  1. Next to Slack in Send to, click Connect.
  2. Qikify starts Slack's authorization flow. While that's in progress, the Slack row shows Awaiting authorisation.

Destinations you connect here — email, Slack, Discord — are shared across every notification in this store, not just the digest.

7. Discord destination

Discord destination

  1. Next to Discord in Send to, click Connect.
  2. In the Connect Discord modal, enter the channel's webhook URL under Webhook URL.
  3. Click Test connection, then click Connect. Both stay disabled while Webhook URL is empty.

Need the webhook URL first? In Discord, go to Server settings > Integrations > Webhooks, create a webhook for the channel, then copy its URL. The modal's Read the guide link has more detail.

8. Saved schedule confirmation

Saved schedule confirmation

Click Save. The Schedule card gains a new line under its heading, confirming the next send — for example: "Next digest: Monday, Sep 28 at 9:00 AM (Asia/Phnom_Penh)", using your store's own date, time, and timezone.
