How to Set Up Free Shipping Goals (and Configure Goals for Different Countries)?

Offering free standard shipping is a proven way to encourage more purchases on Shopify. To help you capitalize on this, qikify Slide Cart includes an updated Free Shipping Progressive Bar in the Cart Drawer. This feature is designed to motivate customers to add more items to their cart and qualify for free shipping, ultimately boosting your sales.


Create free shipping goal


Step 1: Create free shipping rate on Shopify Admin


  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery
  2. Next to the shipping profile that you want to add a shipping rate to, click Manage.



  1. Next to the zone that you want to add a rate to, click Add rate.



  1. Choose "Set up your own rates" > Enter the shipping rate name and set the Price field to 0.



  1. Click Add conditions > choose option "Base on order price" > enter the minimum value for the condition > click Done, and then click Save.



Step 2: Set Up Free Shipping Tiers in Cart Drawer


  1. Go to the qikify Slide Cart app.
  2. Select Slide Cart & Cart Upsell in the sidebar.
  3. Navigate to Reward bar > Tiers, and set the tier type to Shipping goal.
  4. Choose Using free shipping rate on Shopify admin.
  5. Enter the General goal value (this should match the minimum order value you set in Shopify Admin).
  6. Save your settings and test on the storefront.


(Advanced settings) Manage different shipping goals for different countries


Currently, for example, your store currency is $ (USD), you set the general shipping goal as $1000 and your store is selling to customers in Japan, Germany and USA, the shipping goal will be automatically converted to their currencies, ~¥153,000 or ~€920.


Let's say you want to set totally different goal values for customers buying from Japan (¥200,000) and Germany (€1200). Here is how you can achieve it:


Step 1: Create shipping rates for different countries in Shopify admin


  1. Similar to Step 1 above.
  2. Please make sure you have those markets active with shipping zones.



Step 2: Enable shipping goals for different countries in qikify Slide Cart


  1. In the qikify Slide Cart app, go to Reward bar > Tiers, and open the tier set to Shipping goal.
  2. Make sure Using free shipping rate on Shopify admin is selected.
  3. Check the Enable shipping goals for different countries checkbox, located under the General goal value field.
  4. Click Manage goals to open the popup where you can set goal values per country.



  1. You will see a popup where you can manage goal values.
  2. For each country you want to customize the free-shipping goal, set a region with a selected country and a goal value associated with customers from that country.


In this example, we will add:

  • Region 1: JP (Japan) with goal value as 200,000
  • Region 2: DE (Germany) with a goal value as 1200



  1. Finally, click on Update and Save settings, then test it on the live store.
