How to translate or change default content of Upsell offers?

Use this article if you want to change any of the default wording in your offers (button labels, countdown timers, congratulation messages, etc.), or if your store sells in multiple languages and you need offers to show translated content depending on the customer's locale.

There are two separate tasks covered here:

  • A. Change default text: edit the wording shown in your store's main language
  • B. Translate offers into other languages: add alternate-language versions for multi-language stores

A. Change default texts

Changing default text updates the content shown in your store's default language.

There are two places to do this, depending on what you're changing:

  • On the offer settings
  • On the Translations tab.

Open the offer you want to edit and update the title, subtitle, congratulation message, or other content directly in the offer settings.

For wording that isn't tied to one specific offer (like the button label or countdown timer units) go to Translations > General settings. For example, you can change the "Add to cart" button text from "Pick" to "Add," or relabel the time units on countdown messages (Days, Hours, etc.) by scrolling to the bottom of this page.

B. Translate offers into other languages

If your store supports multiple languages, you can translate offer content so customers see it in their own language based on their location.

Step 1: Set up multiple languages in your Shopify admin
Before translating in the app, make sure your store already has multiple languages set up in Shopify.

Step 2: Open Translations in the app
From the left-hand menu, click Translations.

Step 3: Select the language you want to translate into
Click Translation to another language, or use the dropdown to see all the languages active on your store.

Step 4: Add the translated content
Enter the new content version for the selected language.

Step 5: Save and verify
Save your changes, then switch your storefront's language selector to the translated language to confirm the new content is showing correctly.

Hopefully this instruction has helped you. Things change all the time, so if you run into issues please don't hesitate to share them with us via in-app live chat. We're happy to lend a hand 🤩
